You probably remember Little Red Riding Hood a little differently.
Dread Central has an exclusive new clip from Ever After, the fairy tale horror movie opening exclusively in theaters across the U.S. and Canada on September 4, 2026. Tickets are now on sale through Fandango.
The clip drops us into the woods, where two men cautiously approach what appears to be Little Red Riding Hood hunched over the body of a dead wolf. That should probably be their first indication that this particular fairy tale has gone very, very wrong.
As they get closer, Red turns around, reveals a shotgun, and opens fire.
Happily ever after, motherfuckers.
Written and directed by Laszlo Illes, Ever After follows a group of friends whose bachelorette weekend at a secluded forest lodge turns into a nightmare when they discover the surrounding woods are populated by murderous fanatics who believe themselves to be characters from classic fairy tales. Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, the Evil Witch, Prince Charming and others are transformed into killers in what the filmmakers describe as a brutal fight for survival.
The movie has also assembled one hell of a genre cast, including Mark Sheppard (Supernatural), Bonnie Aarons (The Nun), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange).
