Abaddon’s back just in time for Halloween.
One of the most underappreciated and barely talked-about shows of last year was Netflix’s hilarious animated Haunted Hotel, a spooky horror cartoon that went cuckoo bananas from day one. The second season arrives October 9, with eight new episodes.
While we don’t have a proper trailer yet, Netflix dropped a pretty hilarious teaser in which Abaddon pops out of a Netflix menu screen and makes fun of all the other Halloween programming, accidentally breaking the entire platform.
Created by Matt Roller (Rick and Morty), the series follows a single mother trying to run the world’s most haunted hotel alongside her ghost brother, two kids, and a demon trapped in a little boy’s body. That’s before accounting for the ever-growing collection of ghosts, monsters, and supernatural disasters.
The voice cast includes Will Forte (Extra Ordinary) as Nathan, Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings) as Katherine, Skyler Gisondo (Santa Clarita Diet) as Ben, Natalie Palamides (The Powerpuff Girls) as Esther, and Jimmi Simpson (Zodiac) as Abaddon.
Titmouse handles the animation, with Erica Hayes (Rick and Morty) serving as supervising director. Roller executive produces alongside Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon, and Steve Levy.
