Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond) is joining Dexter: Resurrection, with the horror favorite revealing the news herself through a behind-the-scenes selfie alongside Michael C. Hall.
“Have an appearance on an iconic NYC show. Can you guess what it is?” Crampton wrote on Instagram.
She thanked the team for having her, adding, “What a show! What a crew! What a cast! It was as amazing an experience as you might expect! xx”
Details about her character remain under wraps, but adding Crampton to this cast gives horror fans another reason to tune in.
Crampton earned her scream queen status with Re-Animator, From Beyond, and Chopping Mall, then enjoyed a major career resurgence following her return to horror in Adam Wingard’s You’re Next. That comeback led to a remarkable run that includes We Are Still Here, Beyond the Gates, Jakob’s Wife, Suitable Flesh, and The Last Stop in Yuma County.
She’s also helped get these films made. Crampton’s producing credits include Beyond the Gates, Jakob’s Wife, and Suitable Flesh, giving her a hand in shaping some of the most interesting projects of this second chapter of her career.
Paramount+ has released a new teaser for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, which premieres October 30, 2026, with new episodes rolling out weekly through December.
Entertainment Weekly’s first look introduces Dan Stevens (Abigail, The Guest) as Lucas Stark, the Five Borough Killer, and Brian Cox (Manhunter) as Don Framt, the New York Ripper. () plays Ray Ballard, the Sleepy-Eyed Strangler. () also returns as Mia LaPierre.
