20th Century Studio has bought ghost story script ‘Every House Is Haunted’ from Netflix, to be directed by the duo behind ‘Don’t Move’.
Back in 2021, Netflix acquired Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman‘s script Every House Is Haunted. Now, Deadline reports that the streamer has sold the project to 20th Century Studios.
Based on Ian Rogers‘ short story “The House on Ashley Avenue”, the film “follows an insurance investigator who tries to debunk claims that a couple’s death was caused by a haunted house, only for his doubts to be challenged by a psychic and the mysterious occurrences he witnesses with his own eyes.”
Whelp, one more reason not to become an insurance investigator, I suppose.
Adam Schindler and Brian Netto (Don’t Move, not to be confused with the giant spider movie) are directing. They are replacing Corin Hardy (The Nun), who was previously attached to direct.
Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi are on board to produce for Raimi Productions, alongside Roy Lee and Andrew Childs for Vertigo Entertainment. Executive producers are Ian Rogers and Starlight Media.
