Jason Isaacs Feeds on Fear in Our Exclusive ‘Vampire Carnival’ Clip

Jason Isaacs (A Cure for Wellness) has a particularly nasty carnival trick to show you.

Dread Central has an exclusive clip from Vampire Carnival, arriving in select theaters October 7 from Aura Entertainment, and it gives us a taste of what happens when a vampire can get inside your head.

In the footage, Isaacs hypnotizes Paulina Chávez, making her see something horrific. We don’t know exactly what she’s seeing, but it sends her into a frenzied panic while he has an audience watching. Someone in the crowd finally asks him to stop, and he switches it off. Whatever he’s showing her, he has complete control over it.

It’s a pretty effective way to introduce the power of this particular vampire. And getting Jason Isaacs to play him? Fuck yes. The film looks pretty good, too. Between this clip and the premise, I’m curious to see what else is hiding inside this carnival.

Watch him turn hypnosis into a public nightmare in our exclusive ‘VAMPIRE CARNIVAL’ clip. Jason Isaacs gets inside your head… and makes a show of it. In select theaters tomorrow. https://t.co/HwbFJJaRAg

Directed by David Charbonier and Justin Douglas Powell, Vampire Carnival follows a grieving young woman drawn to a mysterious traveling carnival that suddenly appears in her small town. Its promises of escape conceal a world of vampires that feed on human despair instead of blood. Getting out means confronting the trauma she’s been running from—or becoming a permanent attraction.

Nell Verlaque (Thanksgiving) stars alongside Isaacs, Chávez, Kieron Moore, Eoin Macken (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), Alicia Sanz, and Cedrick Cooper. Jason Filardi and Peter Filardi wrote the screenplay.
