‘bloodcast’ Turns a Rapper’s First Interview Into a Dark Confession [Exclusive]

If Interview with the Vampire were born in the podcast era, it would be bloodcast.

A podcast interview takes a sinister turn in bloodcast: a podcast of secrets, Vol. 1, the new thriller novella from Rick Florino, available now on Amazon.

Dread Central exclusively announces the release, which follows an anonymous interviewer sitting down with a mysterious superstar rapper for his debut interview. What should be a major scoop becomes something much darker when the musician shares an unbelievable confession.

Told through sharp, rapid-fire dialogue, bloodcast brings the experience of listening to a podcast onto the page, with a few nasty secrets waiting to come out.

Equally inspired by David Mamet and Stephen King, it’s as unique and exciting as horror fiction gets in 2026.

In the past year alone, Rick notably wrote the book for Aerosmith’s self-titled Aerosmith (Legendary Collector’s Edition), edited both the box set and hardcover book for Metallica’s ReLoad (Remastered Deluxe Box Set), and penned new liner notes for Counting Crows’ August and Everything After, Heart’s Dreamboat Annie, Staind’s Break The Cycle (25th Anniversary Live), The Warning’s ERROR (404) – Deluxe Edition, and The Band’s Music From Big Pink—which  named among “The Best Physical Media Releases of July 2026” and  praised, going on to profess, “The musical annotation by Rick Florino is excellent.” Check out an interview with Rick on .
