A new BTS trailer has dropped for ‘Clayface’, showcasing the genre elements while promising “a true horror film”.
Still worried that DC’s Clayface won’t deliver on the horror? A new BTS trailer released today should finally melt that fear.
In the new BTS footage, we get a look at all sorts of horrific imagery, from the body horror that the title character (played by Tom Rhys Harries) experiences, to hulking out in his final form and even absorbing a guy in what looks like a wicked cool moment.
I don’t have to see any more at this point. Clayface looks like a winner that actually delivers on the scares and gruesome body horror, and I can’t wait.
We also get to hear from the cast/crew.
Says James Gunn, who is now helping steer DC in a new direction, “We are making a true horror film.”
Adds producer Matt Reeves, “It’s a horror thriller, but it’s also a revenge story.”
Tom Rhys Harries (White Lines) stars as Matt Hagen, an actor whose career is derailed when a crime boss leaves him disfigured. An experimental treatment restores his appearance but sends him toward a horrifying transformation and a destructive pursuit of revenge.
James Watkins (Eden Lake, Speak No Evil) directs from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, with a story by Flanagan.
