Insidious: Out of the Further is now available on digital, and Sony Pictures has provided Dread Central with an exclusive deleted scene that’s a must-see for fans of the franchise.
And this one is a doozy.
The sequence, titled “Gemma Lipstick Scare,” features the infamous Lipstick-Face Demon from the original Insidious, alongside dozens of other nightmarish inhabitants of the Further. It’s a great setup for a big scare, and watching it makes you wonder why it was removed from the movie.
Take a look below.
Earlier this week, we shared another deleted scene featuring the Wheezing Man from Insidious: Chapter 3. Out of the Further really is sort of the Avengers of the franchise, bringing its familiar haunts together for one crazy movie.
Directed by Jacob Chase (Come Play), the sixth installment stars Amelia Eve as Gemma, a young mother who discovers she can enter the Further—and bring its inhabitants back into our world. Lin Shaye (Dead End) returns as Elise Rainier, while Sam Spruell (A House on the Bayou) plays Cyrus, a cult leader whose influence continues beyond death.
We were fans here at Dread Central. In his review, Daniel Kurland praised the film’s inventive scares and emotional core, calling it “one of the franchise’s best entries and one of 2026’s best surprises.”
