Rob Savage‘s Other Mommy is now haunting theaters (read our review). And the filmmaker is already discussing his next project.
During Blumfest, Savage announced that his next project will be Molepeople, a subterranean horror film starring LaKeith Stanfield (pictured above in Get Out) and Ben Mendelsohn, below.
THR reveals the logline: A man descends into the abandoned tunnels beneath New York City, where he discovers a twisted society lurking beneath the streets.
Nathan Elston penned the script.
Said Savage during Blumfest, “It’s gonna scare the living shit out of you,” adding that the film is “In the vein of TheTexas Chain Saw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes.“
Stanfield added, “With Molepeople I found something engaging, action-packed, fun…it’s going to be something unlike anything I’ve ever done.“
Producers include Jason Blum, J.D. Lifshitz, Raphael “Rafi” Margules, and James Harris. Executive producers are Ryan Turek, Tracy Rosenblum, Nathan Elston, and Rob Savage. The film will be produced by Paramount Primal and Blumhouse Atomic Monster.
According to Savage, Molepeople is set to begin shooting soon.
