I’m a big Dunkin’ fan. I go back and forth between them and Starbucks depending on who’s treating me better as a customer, although lately I feel like both have gotten pretty comfortable treating us like shit. The rewards and bonuses don’t feel nearly as generous as they used to, even if Dunkin’ still gives me more reasons to come back.
And, honestly, I like their drinks a little better.
Starbucks still feels like it’s chasing that overly classy coffee-shop image, while I’m a 45-year-old teenager who wants weird-ass Halloween drinks. Give me something purple with an absurd name. Have some fun with it.
What I appreciate about Dunkin’s seasonal menu is that it keeps changing. We get pumpkin spice to kick off fall, and then they keep adding things as Halloween gets closer. Earlier this year, they even had a PB&J Cloud Latte. For the love of God, give me peanut butter and jelly year-round. I want peanut butter all the time.
Right now, their Halloween menu includes some pretty ridiculous Franken-drinks:
These are the kinds of seasonal concoctions I’m here for. Perfect for bulking up for winter. Kidding. Mostly.
To be fair on the rewards front, Dunkin’ does have October offers, including 4X bonus points on beverages ordered ahead on Mondays through October 26, with activation required in the app at participating locations.
Between this and Jack in the Box’s Treehouse of Horror menu, Halloween food season has been giving us plenty to enjoy.
