Mouthwashing could be the next horror game making the jump to the big screen, with Sony Screen Gems allegedly developing a film adaptation of Wrong Organ’s psychological horror game.
Daniel Richtman shared the claim on his X account, although there’s no official studio announcement at this point.
For those unfamiliar, Mouthwashing follows five crew members stranded aboard the Tulpar, a wrecked space freighter. With their captain horribly injured and supplies running out, the survivors are left facing starvation, isolation, and each other. Being trapped in space is bad enough. Being trapped with these people is another problem entirely.
Developed by Wrong Organ and published by Critical Reflex, the game debuted in September 2024. Its Steam listing currently carries an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating from English-language reviewers, so there’s already an enthusiastic audience for this particular nightmare.

Also, what’s Mouthwashing? I’ve never heard of it. Is it any good? https://t.co/xRCsNpfyW6
For now, treat the adaptation as an unconfirmed report. But for those who have played Mouthwashing, who would you trust to bring the Tulpar and its crew to the screen?
